William Parsley, MD
William (Bill) Parsley, MD graduated from Wake Forest University in 1965 with a B.S. in Biology. He graduated from the University of Tennessee Medical School in 1969 followed by a 1 year internship at the Los Angeles County / USC Hospital in 1970. Following this was 2 years in the United States Air Force as a Flight Surgeon, finishing in 1972.
Bill completed his dermatology training at the University of Louisville, where he was Chief Resident in his 3rd year. He entered private practice in 1975, and primarily performed hair restoration surgery for the next 33 years, exclusively for the last 23 years. During this time, he was President of the Kentucky Dermatology Society, the International Society for Hair Restoration Surgery, the Hair Restoration section of the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery and the American Board of Hair Restoration Surgery.
Bill was a co-editor of the International Hair Transplant Forum for 3 years. Awards from the ISHRS include the Golden Follicle Award, Manfred Lucas Award as lifetime achievement. During this time, Bill was the guest speaker at the Japanese Hair Restoration Surgery Annual Meeting and the Indian Hair Restoration Surgery Annual Meeting.
